I personally think that Talladega isn’t fitting with the speed the cars are reaching nowdays. Since the Spring race in ’09, there has been an airbourne crash over the weekend in any race. ’09 Spring: Edwards.’09 Fall: Newman. ’10 Spring: Setzer. ’10 Fall: Hornaday & Allmendinger. ’11 Spring: Mike Wallace

it looked like the yellow car started to slow down when they made contact but then sped back up which spun him out. not sure if thats what happened but it looked like that
@BeSweeeet Yes but remember, this is Nationwide, i have seen the same effects in the previous Talladega race, i mean in certain races like Sprint cup, its understandable that damage on a superspeedway decreases your chances of winning, but aerodynamics are so important now that even if you get slight damage on a 1 mile track your car is no longer competitive. also, how exciting was that race last night, i fell asleep?
@SaintBEEP Did you NOT just watch tonight’s Nationwide race at Daytona, where Jr. won? The 12′s bumper was gone for like 10 laps, yet he still went on to finish the race. I don’t know what you’re talking about.
@BeSweeeet most NASCARraces are pretty dull nowadays, and the superspeedways only get exciting near the end as you can plainly see. NASCAR is based too much off areodynamics now, you can’t really race without traking yourself out. Think of the 90′s where drivers would win races with the bumper of their car missing, today, you get a fender-bender and your done. They also focus on commercial now more than racing. i am still a fan of NASCAR, but it is getting extremely boring….
I hate Soccer and love American Football BUT I HATE Nascar. Sorry it is boring just like Soccer. I love Real Formula One and Grand Prix because the drivers have to not only contend with speed and positioning but also having to deal with left and RIGHT turns. Speeding around a oval track is just a LONG drag race and doesn’t have any finesse that F1 and GP races have.
I will not deny that NASCAR racing takes skill, but it is only fun to watch when somomeone crashes

I don’t watch NASCAR on a regular basis, because I can’t sit through a bunch of cautions. I also think it is stupid that they don’t run in the rain.
Although, I respect all of these drivers, it is a very difficult sport, just like any other form of auto racing, and this is definitely exciting stuff when they get in the draft and pass all the time.
I’ll make the point that he shouldn’t have come down on the guy, the spotter should have seen that there was no room! I guess go big or go home!
